I’m bored last times, so I had to try testing new kernel tree – 2.6.25… Result of it you can see there.
New kernel building:
Kernel: arch/x86/boot/bzImage is ready (#1)
Building modules, stage 2.
MODPOST 4 modules
(…)real 13m33.644s
user 10m52.525s
sys 0m55.823s
It gets 13minutes @ Celeron M 1,8GHz with 1GB DDR2 RAM and SATA disk.
after reboot:
meal@oziris:~$ uname -a
Linux oziris 2.6.25-rc6 #1 PREEMPT Mon Mar 17 19:22:03 CET 2008 i686 Intel(R) Celeron(R) CPU 540 @ 1.86GHz GenuineIntel GNU/Linux
meal@oziris:~$
Broadcom wireless card BCM4311 running without kernel patching (as we needed with 2.6.24) and running properly.
